Eriberto Eulisse is director of Civiltà dell’Acqua Centro Internazionale (Water Civilization International Centre), a non-profit NGO based in Venice, Italy. The Centre promotes trans-disciplinary research and holistic approaches to change unsustainable behaviours and practices in water perception, use and management. The Centre manages projects aimed to seek for sustainable solutions to global water crisis, and promotes the recovery of local knowledge related to water, and the material and non-material heritage of past water civilizations.
After graduation in Social Sciences at the University of Bologna, Eulisse specialized in Anthropology of Arts at the Sainsbury Center for Visual Arts, Norwich (UK).
Civiltà dell’Acqua is supported by a number of institutional partners, among which the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Benetton Research Foundation, “Acque Risorgive” Land Reclamation Syndicate, the Municipality of Venice and the Water Agencies of Veritas, ATS, ETRA and AATO Venice Lagoon.
